Our team was called in to help salvage a digger 200 metres out from land at Little Shoal Bay near Auckland's Harbour Bridge. Left for four days, it had slowly sunk becoming well cemented into the ground. Planning and meeting with other professionals involved ensued. Consideration for the environment, public safety and difficult access all added to the overall complication but well thought out preparation meant we were able to carry out our plan, and within one tide change the digger was recovered and returned safely to dry land.
